Income-generating measures
A long overdue lesson
to the DGFK societies

The circle of terminologies is closing!
It is not easy to remain focused in the sea of meaningless terminologies and constantly repeating everyday occurrences.
The progressive fragmentation of society and the consequent development of new terminologies suggests a new development , which however on closer look proves to be merely a changed look.
The past in the form of the old generation seems to be losing its justification.
The youth representing what is still to come is pressing for recognition.
Between them the army of middle-aged persons.
One has to deal with everyday issues, living like a beetle between tree and bark and cannot really do how or what one would like to do.
Awakening, progress and future, these are the battle cries of the army leaders at the zenith of the overview, but they cannot perceive the emerging fog; the mixture of feet on the ground and reaching for the sky prevents this!
While the forefathers understood only the principle of work, in the course of industrialization this evolved into a mixture of working hours and free time, from which non-industrialized countries remained less affected.
Until then, life was still shaped by local character and was actually analogue, but with time it became increasingly international and also affected the less industrialized countries.
Actually escape from the limitation in own country by venturing into foreign lands.
Meanwhile, it is no longer possible to escape from the digital, global village. Even traditional work methods exist lesser and lesser and is iincreasingly infected with occupations of trivialities.
The sense of achievement through well defined tasks exist no longer and they are replaced by occupations that no longer lead to sense of achievement in the traditional sense. Free time exists no longer, the entire time becoming a conglomerate of income-generating measures and expenditure-oriented employments.
Classic profiling is becoming less well known, training and further education is part of consumerism. Despite the calls for growth restrictions, the environment is ruined - not without constant, but quite entertaining Cassandra music.
Nature, for some, a mystical power, for others - they prevail as terminology and pseudo-scientific curiosity occupy the content of their heads ... SEQUITUR ET It goes on and on - Et ca continue, encore et encore - Lo sigue y sigue

Now, in 2021, it is important to continue after overcoming physical and psychological problems. However it will not be possible to be as before because a lot of work with new challenges and initiatives is necessary in order to continue or renew what has already been started.
The young generation is in demand and has to see how they can find solutions in spite of lack of practice from the ever-present digital technology.
Those with longer life experiences are gradually disappearing in the fog of yesterday, - the young generation is aware more of tomorrow, but that too is still waiting in the fog.
The time after 2020 requires calm and cautiousness from people - some will proceed according to the motto hectic-growth-mobility, others of the younger generation will recognize opportunities and new possibilities, - in any case: It will go on, one way or the other!
To support the SSDC project, there will be a work edition in 6 chapters, which will be published piece by piece in the TK blog, as well as in the DGFK-Archiv.de.

We constantly communicate and disseminate information in everyday life, without really thinking about what we actually do. Information from the Latin informare means: form, form, shape, educate, teach, represent, imagine something - Communication comes from Latin word communicare and means: to share, to communicate, to participate, to do together, to unite.
The spread of the terms information and communication over the Indo-European languages suggests uniformity, which are deepened in the scientific discussions, whereby the terminology is theorized and manifested, ignoring the actual diversity of linguistics in everyday life.
Ultimately, the resulting pseudo reality is seemingly insignificant, but actually the basis for all ensuing misunderstandings and conflicts.
Apparently, the theories and various explanatory patterns seem to be clear, so that they are further deepened, but in this process the understanding of basic concept disappears. The clarity of a theory turns out to be useless practice.

In various discussions concerning:
- holistic
- open and
- closed system
different approaches were established. Although the foundations are the same, the arguments are different.
Out of the nature based system with its holistic approach developed in an open system with its ever-increasing industrialization a totally fragmented way of thinking.
Tasks were increasingly more thought out with the side effect that that auxiliary factors were increasingly disregarded, which impacted the economy and led to the prevailing growth-oriented approach.
This fact stands in contrast to the verbal assurances regarding environmental protection, resource protection, etc.
Growth and prosperity for all is suggested and the exploitation of the planet is forced, which affects the academic training as well. The consequences of the approach are rising costs in society and falling tax revenues, with tremendous growth of virtual money; the money supply stands in stark contrast to unproductive activities.
The closed system invariably results in a more concentrated way of thinking, which despite all differences, comes not even close to the holistic approach.
Mutation of the System
Result of fragmentation, also in field of science, in the XIX. Century, is the beginning of industrialization.
The originally holistic (complete) approach, in science the universal worldview, as it once prevailed, for example with Alexander von Humboldt, began to fragment itself increasingly.
In the German language the term "culture" as a preamble, has a special importance.
Diverse cultural factors result shape into a new culture; the influence of which can be decisive on the others.
There were times when the religion (Inquisition) was the determining factor in Europe, - nowadays it's the economy dominating with its influence - in research and science.
Faith and knowledge intersect into each other. Strong faith leads to knowledge and the knowledge becomes ignorant of how important the faith is.
Thanks to the fragmentation. a new approach developed and the holistic approach was gradually pushed back. Problems are therefore not resolved but postponed at short notice and for economic reasons; Problem shifting instead of problem solving!
Rising academic approach increases the gap between theory and practice, so that, accelerated by digitization and globalization, major structural changes occur, which affectall fields of culture.
The knowledge gained here leads in all areas invariably to eruptions and to misunderstandings, since the Digital (incl. Virtual Reality) appears to be superior to the original approach and the human intelligence with its inherent processes of complex hormonal and biochemical interactions is absolutely underestimated.
Add to that the fact that the laws of nature are valid only on this planet and the human being as subject and object at the same time is not able to come out of himself.
He is trapped in himself, while he is being altered rapidly through the technical advancement without realizing the consequences and without recognizing the changes.

Cameroon boast of a steady fish market in sub-Sahara Africa yet much of the fish consumed in the country is imported. This has brouht a complete hard ship for farmers who depended on this sector for survival.
Of late low local production has led to a hike in prices. "Fish which use to be a source of protein for the common man and most low income earning households is now consumed by the rich". Bonue adoph a fish trader in Bamenda, Cameroon remarked.
To fix these challenges, Cameroon government in 2011 through the ministry of fisheries and livestock initiated broad-based community campaigns to get more farmers involve in inland fish cultivation. Statistics estimated 176.000tons of fish was produced in Cameroon annually with only 1000tons harvested through the aquaculture sector or inland fishing projects. This represented 0.1% of the national production index according to Mr. Keng Wilfred Nshom of the ministry of trade and industry. "Despite the available natural resources that provided a good level ground for quality and quantitative fish production, sustainability in the sector was still a major challenge"Wilfred Remarked.
Cameroon spents close to 100billion frances cfa each year to supplement the production deficit which is estimated to cost 230.000tons of fish according to officials in the ministry of livestock and fisheries.
Nonetheless a few passionate fish farmers have been brazing the storms to make a fine living out of the sector. Chief Agaki Solomon in the south west region of Cameroon posits that a year of good harvest brings good fortunes for his household. "But unfortunately for us the harvest is never the best," he said.
Pond fish farming actually started on Cameroon in the early 1950. The lack of adequate infrastructures and institutions to boast the sector had seen it limping from challenge to the next. To go by the findings of Pouomogne V and pemsl in a publication entitled the Development and Status of fresh water aquaculture in Cameroon in 2008, The fish sector in Cameroon is far from realizing it potentials. The research affirms that, "Fish is a preferred protein source for most rural households because it is cheap as compared to other protein sources like meat , chicken or beef."
Although there is a big challenge for fingerlings stirring this sector in the face, many obstacles still abound. Finance to open up fish farming projects, the lack of well-organized farmer self-help groups, the lack of good fish farming skills and the dominant use of earthen ponds rather than modern structures leave the sector at a want for help.
In the rural communities where most farmers are poor and want to fine hope and a better life in the sector, the absences of good fish varieties and poor feeding systems of the ponds aggravate their woes. "we just keeping struggling.... and struggling". Edge Sophia a fish farmers in the Bambalang village in NW, Cameroon affirmed their difficulties.
In Cameroon earthen ponds are the commonest fish farming structures for inland fishing across the country up to date. "This has resulted to low production ... and without any benefits from the sector many of our farmers are bound to leave the sector"..Nguma Mamah a fish farmer in Ndop said. The resulting consequences have brought untold suffering for these rural poor. "We lack income for urgent needs and can't maintain a balance diet as well".Mamah remarked. The urgent wish at hand is to upscale production. But all these dreams are still live in the hands of the poor farmers who see very little efforts coming from government to help them cope.
This lack of motivation is snow balling not only in to poverty but unemployment for the rural youths.
In Mbengwi sub division of the NW region of Cameroon alone there are at least 250 fish ponds owned by some 160 fish farmer initiatives. But not all of these ponds are active. "The enormous challenges and the lack of means to improve production are demoralizing factors". One of the fish farmers Ndi Samuel remarked. The harvest for these farmers is mostly at end of year meant for family consumption. "Very few farmers have surplus for sale in the local markets," Samuel said.
One point that gets attention in this community is that the Ku-Bome fish station a government sponsored fish fattening and fingerlings producing projects is operating below its capacity. Their objectives to follow up farmers and to educate them on the benefits of this sector are still only on paper. From the initial stages, 35ponds were pinpointed in this pilot project. "The lack of water hampered the smooth functioning of these ponds as only 8 are operational" Sammy remarked. Two of the dams that were expected to be supplying water to the ponds had long collapsed. The lack of staff to keep the vision of the project had poised another challenge. Anyangwa Theophile and his secretary are the only full time workers in this project. Theophile regrets that alone he cannot follow up farmers in the remotest and land locked areas of the division without a vehicle. Theophile has not relented too. His been encouraging farmers to show the same interest and commitment to fish farming as they do for poultry and pig farming. "Farmers invest in pig breeding because over the years they have learnt that it can yield them good income" he said. Theophile has a proposal. " I think NGO can boast the sector by providing fingerlings, feed and technical follow-up to the farmers to help them reap the benefits of their labour" Theophile opined.
A farmer who has taken the bull by the horn in fish farming is pastor Jessy Ngang in the city of Bamenda. Ngang is spearheading a project aimed at encouraging inland fish farming at the semi urban villages around Bamenda. Yet the inertia in the sector is still unabated. "The lack of financing and technical follow up are the main challenges" He said. On the whole proper organization of the fish farming sector could boast household income, nutrition and create jobs for the youth across Cameroon.

In the outskirt of the city of bamenda an eco friendly initiative is budding with five tree houses constructed to serve as lodging and bar restaurant.
The owner one Asangawa Stephen says he wants to highlight the importance of trees and to bring humanity closer to nature with this project that started five years ago.
These tree lodging houses that are built around some 8trees lasting at least 20yrs hang from a height of 7meters each above the ground .
"There is no way I can give back to nature all the food things I have received from the chest of mother nature" Stephen the proprietor of this project said as he ushered in his two foreign visitors.
This piece of land on which Stephen is promoting this eco friendly initiative was bequeathed to him by his late Dad. "I want to make the most of it in this modern times" he said. More than 50environmental friendly trees have also been planted on this land ranging from fruits trees like mangos to prunus Africanas
Talking about the material used in constructing these tree ldging houses ..Stephen explained that low cost material like bamboo, fibre an cane where his main substance. "As you can see I have not bought any of these raw materials, I'm making good use of this low cost accessible and cheap natural products to give this project its full potentials” Stephen remarked.
These tree lodging houses are well ventilated and are serviced with all social amenities like flushing toilets, TV sets and wool carpets.
Security as in Stephen terms has been well guarantee as he has afforded two modern fire extinguishers just in case of any fire out breaks. "In the days ahead I will be getting certification from the Cameroon on the safety of this project". Stephen recounted.
While appreciating Stephen idea has a stepping stone to more self reliance and a boast to the tourism industry in Cameroon, King Wilfred divisional delegate of commerce in Bamenda pinpointed that Stephen idea was renovative and worth supporting. “This is a remarkable contribution to the fight against deforestation and climate change" Wilfred added.
A room in Stephen tree house cost an approximate 8000 fcfa. More than 70 foreign and national guests have visited this project.
Stephen is a determined farmer and has over 5kids. In his vision the sky is his limits in contributing to this fight against climate change in Africa.

The Oku community nationwide has been challenged to fight off their fears and to be confident that the new exco of the Oku cultural and development association OCDA will deliver on the promise of transparency, accountability and hope. Speaking shortly after an enlarged extra ordinary executive meeting of OCDA since his inauguration as the national president of this association last march, Mr. Keng Wilfred Nshom added that a common bond of love among the Oku was a recipe that was needed to redeem OCDA and Oku development.
While reciting that this wasn't time to recount the woes and losses of the past, Mr. Keng remarked that his executive had magnificent dreams for Oku and its people beginning with the launch of a fund raiser jamboree this July 9th at the Oku Fons palace plaza. Adding that time was of the essence, he said that this fundraiser would run till December 2016 in all OCDA home, national and international branches. “All Oku sons and daughters must know that we all mean business and we must carry our weight now behind OCDA," he noted. While pinpointing accountability and transparency as the main pillars of his regime, Mr. Keng pledged to flush out fugitives and debtors keeping any assets of this association in the past. He called on OCDA branches nationwide to be vigilant and steadfast for all upcoming events.

NGOs vs Ltd
Thursday, September 10, 2015
Prof Dr Norbert Pintsch / SPATH, IPC, SES
NGO means here socially oriented institutions and Ltd means here economically oriented institutions.
The former manufacture something and they are also not dependent upon the market, however the social aspect prevails. The latter , and this is the tragic thing, see only economic growth as their sole purpose.
NGOs can be seen as institutions, which are supposed to subordinate themselves to the existing order of things, in order not to cause any problems.
Due to the given order and organization, eventual disturbace factors are also to be accepted. At the same time creativity and innovation is standardized to an extent, that critical voices rightfully put in question the sense of this order and organization.
Also this will be of no help except working on the effects only and trying to repair them.
The real causes for the multiple problems remain hidden, concealed and are therefore ignored.
Should one make an effort to publish them, the basic structure would vanish and whole chain of problems would become visible.
At this place, we must refer to the widespread theory of sinus curves, which represent the reality as as permanent back and forth of repetition. The reality as a consequence is made up of total collapse and a new beginning, as is the case with a tangent curve, as explained impressively and repeatedly by the critical thinker KP Friebe.
Illusory prosperity, a mania for value addition and growth become recognizable as a thing that is wished for but in fact is impossible to achieve. A big crater becomes visible in the seemingly perfectly organized order of things.
It is to be doubted, whether in a new order, an appreciable number of people can be put to use in an active manner.
Ltd's as a metaphor for economic organization, have the ability to engage on an international level. They have long ago recognized the chance for overcoming the fictive and arbitrary boundaries of states and use this opportunity to the fullest. By using the technology and the factor time, they provide for the repeal and ineffectiveness in the political and social fabric.

Times of transformation are times of change and change always comes.
In the present time, change is brought about through the use of and effects of Information and Communication. At the same time, the factor is ignored, although it is there all the time.
The manufacturing of a unique piece requires time and demands Initiative, Creativity and Innovation. Terms, which are precondition in the analog as well as in the digital world. The big danger here is of acting as Either-Or, because it is more sensible to act as This-As well as this. Otherwise the ground reality goes lost and the digital reality is considered the only reality. The production of errors is increased exponentially. These again lead to Pseudo-Solutions, which contain new faults!
The production of errors is enormous due to the factor time and technological speed. They can be equalized or reduced through adjustments, which create uniformity and stand opposite to evolutionary development, which also works with the factor Time but in completely different dimensions and Mega-Systems, the extent and complexity of which in spite of digital possibilities can only be imagined.
The understanding here is the duplicity of our self. We are subject and object at the same time and are not able to equalize in the digital world. Add to that in a solely digital consideration the processing of the Affects, not the Cause, which is to be found on the analog level.
This can e explained with a simple example. A Thing can be made as analog, i.e. a really unique piece, which as explained above, requires and demands -among others- creativity.
To make this Thing digitally, e.g through 3-D-Printer, requires more than the technical-scientific knowledge, it requires Creativity from the analogue world. Otherwise, the progress will only be pseudo-progress and in spite of general belief and assumptions, they contain concealed errors and only pseudo-success.
Environmental protection, Resource protection, Nature protection remain hollow slogans in short term economic thinking and false value addition.
